Dead Hanging Game Collection Pictures
 The hanging trophies of a hunt became a popular Victorian subject. A carry-over from the European custom of hanging live game on a barn or board, the pictures were first made by painting and carving wooden game, and later, in order to make them available to the average household, some were cast in metal and many were made from impressed cardboard to give the illusion of three dimensions. These were highly colored and served as decoration in many Victorian homes.
